Bitrune is a bold pixel arcade font with chunky capitals 7 pixels tall. Vertical strokes are two pixels wide, so the letters are heavy and wide like the score digits on an old cabinet, and corners are cut with single pixel steps.

Bitrune is all caps: the lowercase keys give the same capitals, so you never get mixed heights by accident. Short, loud words are its home: Game Over, High Score, Player One, Insert Coin.

Arcade Tips

1. Use multiples of 10 px. Each pixel is 1/10 of the font size, so 20, 40 or 70 px keeps every square sharp.
2. Add a hard shadow one pixel down and right in a darker color: the classic arcade look, still crisp.
3. Keep it short. Bitrune is loud by design; pair it with a thinner pixel font for longer text.
