1. Commercial License
The Commercial License covers the vast majority of assets on Pixarts Store. It's designed to be as permissive as possible — you can use assets in virtually any project, personal or commercial, without crediting us.
You can:
- Use assets in commercial projects — games, apps, videos, websites, client work, merchandise, and anything else that generates revenue.
- Modify, edit, and incorporate assets into your end-products — animate them, recolor them, redesign them.
- Use assets in unlimited projects from a single license purchase.
- Use assets without attribution (though crediting us is always appreciated).
You cannot:
- Resell or redistribute the asset files themselves — even if modified. This includes selling them on other marketplaces, bundling them into asset packs, icon sets, UI kits, or template collections — regardless of how much they've been altered.
- Include raw source files in public repositories (e.g., a public GitHub repo) where others can download them for free.
- Sub-license the assets to allow a third party to do any of the above.
The key distinction: you're licensing the asset to use in a larger work — not to resell the file itself. Your finished game, app, or video isn't affected by this restriction in any way.
2. Editorial License
Assets tagged "Editorial" are inspired by third-party intellectual property (game logos, franchise styles, recognizable cultural imagery). Because of this, their usage is limited to non-commercial contexts.
- Permitted: Fan projects, private modding, personal artwork, educational use, editorial journalism, non-profit content.
- Not permitted: Products for retail sale, commercial merchandise, or any revenue-generating use. Using Editorial assets commercially is at your own risk with respect to the original IP holder.
3. Additional Policies
- Production workflow: Assets on Pixarts Store may be created using a combination of traditional digital artistry (3D modeling, texturing, manual painting) and AI-assisted tools. Every asset is reviewed, refined, and quality-checked by our team before publication. Your license is fully valid regardless of the tools used in production.
- AI Training: Purchasing or downloading assets does not grant permission to use the files to train generative AI or machine learning models. Such use is strictly prohibited.
- License validity: Your license is unconditional and permanent once purchased. It is not affected by changes to our pricing or catalog.
