Kelthorn is an uncial fantasy font with round, open letters inspired by old insular manuscripts. The strokes are thick and friendly, and small sharp spurs on the terminals give it an adventurous, slightly wild edge.

Uncial forms mix capitals and small letters in one rhythm, so titles look old and handwritten, yet every word stays easy to read. It is a celtic-inspired font for highland clans, druids and ancient stone circles, not a copy of any historical script.

Why Uncial

Uncial letters come from a time before capitals and small letters were separate alphabets. Kelthorn keeps that idea: the lowercase is close to the capitals in height, so a mixed-case word like Highland Oath has an even, chanted rhythm. The spurs are small enough to stay out of the way on a map label at 24 px.

Tip: pair it with a plain, quiet sans serif for body text and keep Kelthorn for names and headings only.
