Asset Description
Kurofang is a samurai-style dry brush font with heavy, square strokes and tight counters. The long edges are slightly rough, and the stroke ends break into sharp splintered bristle tips, as if each letter was slashed onto paper with one dry brush.
Every letter is a single solid shape with no loose specks, so it stays crisp in a logo and on merch. It has a Japanese-inspired feel but uses Latin letters only: there are no Japanese characters.
Brush Tips
- All caps, tight spacing. The heavy square strokes look strongest packed together, like a brush title on a scroll.
- Red on cream, cream on black. Two flat colors are enough; the rough bristle edges carry the texture, so skip extra grunge effects.
- Check the ink look at small sizes. Below 32 px the splintered tips become tiny, so use Kurofang for names and titles, not for menus.
Kurofang uses Latin letters only and does not include any Japanese characters.
