Asset Description
Questbit is a pixel font for RPG games, drawn on a strict square grid. The capitals are 10 pixels tall and the lowercase 7, which leaves room for proper descenders on g, p and y and for a lowercase that looks like real text rather than shrunken caps.
That makes it a text font as much as a title font: dialogue boxes, item descriptions and quest logs stay readable, and Press Start still looks like a classic console title when set big. Every edge is a hard pixel step, with no anti-aliased curves.
Keeping Pixels Sharp
- Scale in whole steps. The grid unit is 1/14 of the font size, so 14, 28, 42 or 56 px gives perfectly square pixels.
- Turn off smoothing in your game engine (nearest-neighbor filtering) to avoid blurry edges.
- No kerning needed: each letter has its own fixed width on the grid, so spacing stays even.
