Asset Description
Sablecrown is an elegant medieval serif font with light, high-contrast strokes and tiny thorn-like spurs. Where most fantasy fonts shout, Sablecrown whispers: it feels like a royal decree written by candlelight in a moonlit cathedral.
The letters are open and wide, so long titles and short lines of text stay clear. Use it when you want dark fantasy with class, for courts, queens and vampire romance rather than battle and blood.
Design Notes
Sablecrown has high contrast: thick main stems and hairline joins. That is what gives it a quiet, royal look, but it also means it needs size. Keep it at 20 px or larger, and on a dark background use a light ink color rather than pure white so the hairlines do not sparkle.
Short titles look best in all caps with wide letter spacing; for a book title with a subtitle, set the subtitle in the same font, mixed case and smaller.
