Warcrate is a condensed military stencil font with the bridges cut straight through every closed shape. The O, D and Q are squared off instead of round, the C and G end in flat cuts, and the W splits into two narrow strokes, so a word reads like paint sprayed through a metal plate.

There is no separate lowercase. The lowercase keys type smaller capitals with the same stencil cuts, which lets you set a title like Supply Drop 07 in two heights without changing fonts. All letters sit on one flat top and bottom line.

Field Notes

• Tight by design. The letters stand close, like markings on a narrow crate side. For a large headline add 2 to 5 % letter spacing so A and T do not crowd each other.
• One color, high contrast. Black on olive drab, white on gunmetal, yellow on black. Outlines and drop shadows fill the stencil gaps and kill the effect.
• Numbers carry the look. Serial codes like UNIT 4-17 or CRATE 0358 are where the stencil cuts show best.
