FiveM Items List: 150 Items Every Roleplay Server Needs
A practical FiveM items list for roleplay servers: 150 items in 12 categories, from food and EMS to police, mechanic, heist and job items, with spawn names and suggested weights.

A new roleplay server usually starts with the items that came with the framework: water, bread, a bandage, a lockpick and a phone. That is enough to test scripts, but not enough for players to roleplay. The EMS player has nothing to treat a patient with, the mechanic has one repair kit for every problem, and the police have no evidence to collect.
This FiveM items list is a starting point we put together from the item sets server owners ask us for most. It has 150 items in 12 categories, each with a spawn name and a suggested weight, so you can see the gaps in your server at a glance.
How to Use This List
- Item is the label players see in the inventory.
- Spawn name is the item ID you use in configs, scripts and
/giveitem. These are the file names from our Modern RP icon packs, so if you use the icons, every name already matches its image. If your server already has an item calledwaterorbandage, keep your name and only rename the image file. - Weight is a suggested starting value. ox_inventory and QB-Core store weight in grams, so enter 2 kg as
2000. ESX Legacy without ox counts weight in kilograms as whole numbers, so most of these items become1there. - Icon shows where the matching icon is: Free means it is in our free starter pack, Vol.1 to Vol.5 is the Modern RP volume.
Not sure where item definitions and images go in your framework? Our step-by-step guide covers it: How to Add Custom Items and Images to ox_inventory, QB-Core and ESX.

1. Food & Drinks
Hunger and thirst only create roleplay if there is something worth buying. A burger joint, a coffee shop and a 24/7 store each need their own menu, and alcohol gives bars and nightclubs a reason to exist. Keep drinks heavier than snacks, so players think about what they carry.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Burger | food_burger_classic | 300 g | Vol.1 |
| Club Sandwich | food_sandwich_club | 250 g | Vol.1 |

| Six-Pack of Beer | drink_six_pack_beer | 2 kg | Free |
| Whiskey | drink_whiskey_bottle | 1 kg | Vol.1 |
Restaurant jobs need much more than this: Vol.2 Jobs & Crime has 256 restaurant and café items, and Vol.5 Survival & Food adds more than 600 food, cooking and drink icons.
2. Medical & EMS
EMS is one of the most active jobs on any server, and it falls flat when every injury is fixed with the same bandage. Separate items for bleeding (tourniquet), wounds (suture kit), fractures (splint) and blood loss (IV and blood bags) let medics actually treat a patient, and give doctors something to do at the hospital.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bandage | med_bandage_roll | 50 g | Vol.1 |
| First Aid Kit | med_first_aid_kit | 800 g | Vol.1 |

| Trauma Bag | med_trauma_bag | 4 kg | Vol.2 |
| Stretcher | med_stretcher | 8 kg | Vol.2 |
3. Police & Justice
Good police roleplay is built on evidence. Bullet casings, gunshot residue tests and DNA samples turn a shootout into an investigation, and warrants and citations give the justice side paperwork to process. Heavy items like spike strips belong in the vehicle trunk, not in a pocket.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Handcuffs | item_handcuffs | 300 g | Vol.1 |

| Body Camera | tool_body_camera | 150 g | Vol.1 |
| Police Radio | tool_police_radio | 400 g | Vol.1 |
4. Mechanic & Vehicles
A single repair kit makes mechanics optional. Splitting repairs into body, engine and parts work, and making tires and batteries heavy, keeps the tow truck and the workshop busy. Tuning items like nitrous also give the street racing scene a reason to visit the shop.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Repair Kit | tool_car_repair_kit | 2 kg | Vol.1 |
| Advanced Repair Kit | tool_advanced_repair_kit | 4 kg | Vol.2 |

| Jerry Can | item_jerrycan_gasoline | 5 kg | Vol.1 |
5. IDs, Licenses & Cards
Documents cost almost nothing in inventory weight and create a lot of roleplay: traffic stops, gun store checks, hunting and fishing patrols, and bank scenes. A fake ID is the illegal side of the same system.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| ID Card | item_id_card | 10 g | Vol.1 |

| Fake ID | item_fake_id_card | 10 g | Vol.2 |
| Pay Stub | item_pay_stub | 10 g | Vol.4 |
6. Keys, Phones & Electronics
Most servers already use a phone and car keys, but physical keys and keycards are also what makes housing, apartments and garages feel real. A burner phone and a SIM card are useful for criminal scripts that should not run on a player's main phone.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Car Keys | item_car_keys | 50 g | Vol.1 |
| House Key | item_house_key | 20 g | Vol.1 |

| Tablet | item_tablet | 500 g | Vol.2 |
| USB Drive | item_usb_flash_drive | 20 g | Vol.1 |
7. Money & Valuables
Separate clean and dirty money is the base of every money laundering script. Valuables like watches, chains, rings and gold bars are the loot from robberies and the stock of any pawn shop.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cash Bundle | item_cash_bundle | 100 g | Vol.1 |

| Lottery Ticket | item_lottery_ticket | 5 g | Vol.4 |
| Poker Chips | item_poker_chips_stack | 300 g | Vol.1 |
8. Heists & Break-ins
Each heist needs a chain of items: something to get in, something to open the vault, and something to avoid the police. Give each step its own item and players have to plan, buy or steal the gear before the job starts.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lockpick Set | tool_lockpick_set | 150 g | Vol.1 |
| Hacking Laptop | item_hacking_laptop | 2.5 kg | Vol.1 |

| Tactical Gloves | clothing_tactical_gloves | 200 g | Vol.2 |
| Hotwire Kit | tool_hot_wiring_ignition_wires | 200 g | Vol.2 |
Vol.2 Jobs & Crime has 128 more heist and robbery items, from vault doors to laser grid emitters.
9. Illegal Trade
Drugs are a standard part of criminal roleplay on most servers. A complete loop needs a raw product, packaging and a scale, so dealing becomes a process and not a single item sold to an NPC.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weed Bag | drug_weed_bag | 10 g | Vol.1 |
| Joint | drug_joint | 5 g | Vol.1 |

| Empty Baggies | drug_pack_of_small_zip_bags | 50 g | Vol.2 |
| Hash Brick | drug_hash_brick | 1 kg | Vol.2 |
10. Tools & Crafting
Basic tools and materials are the base of crafting systems, housing and civilian jobs like construction. They are also the most reused items: the same rope, zip ties and duct tape show up in heist and kidnapping scripts.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toolbox | tool_toolbox | 5 kg | Vol.1 |
| Hammer | tool_hammer | 800 g | Vol.1 |
| Wrench | tool_wrench | 500 g | Vol.1 |
| Drill | tool_cordless_drill | 1.5 kg | Vol.1 |

| Box of Nails | material_box_of_nails | 500 g | Vol.1 |
| Copper Wire | material_copper_wire_coil | 1 kg | Vol.1 |
11. Fishing, Hunting & Farming
Legal grinding jobs keep new players on the server before they can afford a car. Each job needs a tool, something to catch or grow, and a product to sell. Licenses from section 5 tie them to the police side.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fishing Rod | item_telescopic_fishing_rod | 800 g | Vol.5 |
| Bait Worms | food_cup_of_bait_worms | 100 g | Vol.2 |

| Potato | food_potato | 200 g | Vol.1 |
| Sickle | tool_sickle | 500 g | Vol.5 |
| Wood Log | material_wood_log | 5 kg | Vol.1 |
For bigger job systems, Vol.5 Survival & Food has full sets of fish, fishing gear, hunting, farming and foraging items.
12. Everyday Items
The small things make a character feel real: a wallet, cigarettes, a lighter, a backpack. Packages and trash bags also double as delivery and garbage job items.
| Item | Spawn name | Weight | Icon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wallet | item_wallet_brown | 150 g | Vol.1 |

Example: Adding Items From the List
This is how three items from the medical section look in ox_inventory (ox_inventory/data/items.lua, weight in grams):
['med_tourniquet'] = {
label = 'Tourniquet',
weight = 100,
stack = true,
close = true,
},
['med_suture_kit'] = {
label = 'Suture Kit',
weight = 150,
stack = true,
close = true,
},
['med_saline_iv_bag'] = {
label = 'Saline IV Bag',
weight = 550,
stack = true,
close = true,
},
And the same items for ESX Legacy without ox (weight in kilograms, whole numbers):
INSERT IGNORE INTO `items` (`name`, `label`, `weight`) VALUES
('med_tourniquet', 'Tourniquet', 1),
('med_suture_kit', 'Suture Kit', 1),
('med_saline_iv_bag', 'Saline IV Bag', 1);
QB-Core uses the same grams as ox, in qb-core/shared/items.lua. The guide linked above shows the full QB format and where each inventory loads its images from.
Get the Icons for These Items
An item without an image shows up as an empty square, and mixing icon styles from five different sources makes an inventory look unfinished. Every item on this list has a matching icon in our Modern RP series, drawn in one style and named exactly like the spawn names above.
Start with the free pack. It has 52 icons in 6 sizes with ready ESX, QB-Core and ox_inventory configs, so you can test the style and the install on your server first:
8 items from this list are in the free pack. The rest come from the full volumes: 92 in Vol.1 Essentials, 37 in Vol.2 Jobs & Crime, 6 in Vol.4 Gear & Loot, 7 in Vol.5 Survival & Food. The bundle has all five volumes, more than 7 000 icons with configs for all three frameworks, plus 224 bonus UI icons:
FAQ
Do I need all 150 items on day one? No. Start with the categories that match the jobs your server already runs. Food, medical, documents and keys are the most useful first, because every player meets them in the first hour.
Can I change the spawn names? Yes. The name only has to match three things: the item definition, the image file name and the scripts that use it. Change all three together, before the server goes live. Renaming items later breaks players' saved inventories.
Why are some weights so high? Weight is a gameplay tool. A heavy car battery, tire or vault drill means players need a vehicle or a team to move it, which creates roleplay. Adjust the values to your server's carry limit: ox_inventory defaults to 30 000 g and QB-Core to 120 000 g.
Where do I put the item images?
In ox_inventory/web/images for ox_inventory and in qb-inventory/html/images for QB-Core. The file must be named exactly like the item, e.g. med_tourniquet.png. Full details for each framework are in the custom items guide.
